Under Siege

[ Steven Seagal, Tommy Lee Jones, Gary Busey ] The ultra-stiff Steven Seagal kicks butt and takes names. Fifth-gear performances from Jones and Busey redeem this predictable Die Hard knock-off. 1992.

Under the Cherry Moon

[ Prince, Jerome Benton, Kristin Scott Thomas ] Soul rocker Prince should stick to the concert hall. Fans will dig the music and the retro look, but the rest is plotless vapor. 1986.

Unfaithfully Yours

[ Dudley Moore, Nastassia Kinski, Armand Assante ] Remake of the 1948 film of the same name. Moore walks through the film with his usual gimmicks. Redeemed only by a few choice scenes with side-splittin' Albert Brooks. 1984.

Unforgiven

[ Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman ] Juggernaut western with a message. Eastwood hits grand slams as both actor and director. Flawless all around. 1992.

Untamed Heart

[ Christian Slater, Marisa Tomei, Rosie Perez ] Odd ending and uneven Slater performance hurts an otherwise refreshing, romantic story. 1993.

The Untouchables

[ Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, Robert De Niro ] Super crowd pleaser made Costner a star and relit Connery's spotlight. The well-known story of Ness vs. Capone erupts under the volcanic direction of Brian de Palma. 1987.

Up the Creek

[ Tim Matheson, Stephen Furst, John Hillerman ] Animal House on water. Occasional low-brow laughs make this one a guilty pleasure. 1984.

Urban Cowboy

[ John Travolta, Debra Winger, Scott Glenn ] This average story gets its kicks from the cowboy milieu (fancy word, eh) of the famous bar Gilley's. 1980.

Used Cars

[ Kurt Russell, Jack Warden ] Surprisingly amusing flick captures the polyester and vinyl feel of a typical used car dealership. Russell in one of his early "adult" roles. 1980.
