Under the KnifeOctopussy
[ Roger Moore, Maud Adams ] A title to make a 13 year old giggle; a plot to make an adult guffaw. Inventive gadgetry and saucy entendre make this an okay entry in the 007 series. 1983.

In For Observation The Odd Couple
[ Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau ] Two of the most dead-on casting choices in the history of film. Amazingly, the feat was replicated when it went small screen with Klugman and Randall. 1968.

Dead On ArrivalOdd Balls
[ Foster Brooks, Jason Sorokin ] A ghastly excuse for a movie, you just gotta believe that the investors who footed this bill needed the loss for tax purposes. Foster Brooks is the headliner. Danger, Will Robinson! 1968.

In For ObservationOf Human Bondage
[ Bette Davis, Leslie Howard ] Young Bette Davis is very watchable in this adaptation of the Maugham novel. Makes sense why she became a big star. 1934.

Under the KnifeAn Officer and a Gentleman
[ Richard Gere, Louis Gossett, Jr., Debra Winger ] Track the character arc in this textbook Hollywood script. One of those movies where each cast member shines. Gere and Gossett (who copped an Oscar as the fierce drill seargent) haven't been this good since. 1982.
